| Stop Smoking Aid |
Question:
What's the latest in to aid in stop smoking?
Answer:
Time Magazine is reporting a new stop smoking aid in a pill form.
Interesting though, even the pill for stop smoking is giving a 50% quit rate
which is an improvement over the 7%-10% success with the patch or gum after six
months. Does that tell you how tough this addiction is or what?
From Pfizer, Varenincline is the first non-nicotine agent developed to help
smokers quit. The pills activate the nicotine receptor, fooling the smoker into
thinking his craving has been satisfied.
